Deprecating[edit]
I'd like to deprecate this template in favor of Template:Note.
Tt produces a character that must be hovered over to see its contents (e.g. *). This functionality is unclear, has accessibility issues, and does not work on a lot of mobile devices. Notes, on the other hand, provides a reference-style link that is much more accessible, and also takes advantage of Reference Tooltips, which is a friendlier experience (example: [nb 1]). If there aren't any objections in the next day or so I'll go ahead with the deprecation and start converting Tts to Notes.
