About Me

Early Childhood

I grew up playing the Animal Crossing series. Some of my first memories are of my older brother, younger sister, and me all gathered around this massive TV (massive in bulk and depth, not screen size) with our color-coded GameCube controllers, watching someone play and eagerly waiting for their next turn. I was pretty young then so I was to perfect age to play Animal Crossing: Wild World when it came out. My sister and I both had copies and would spend hours in our separate rooms on two different floors, in awe of the fact that we could trade town fruits and play together by connecting our town gates through the magic of ~wifi~. Animal Crossing was there for some of those big milestones in my life. I remember moving houses the summer we got Animal Crossing: City Folk because we had to agree on a named for our shared town and ended up naming it "Westwood", pulling the first half, "West-", from our old town's name and the second half, "-wood", from our new town's name.

School Years

Time passed and I got older and found myself too busy with school to pull out the old Wii remote and pantomime fishing in hopes of catching a Red Snapper. But then Christmas of 2014 came and my older brother rekindled my love for the series by bestowing upon me the gift of Animal Crossing: New Leaf, which I promptly became addicted to, much to our mother's dismay. Christmas break ended and school took over my life again, but I managed to keep playing during my breaks and summers. Now I'm a "Second Semester Senior" at my high school (read: I finished my college applications), and after finishing my senior thesis and taking my AP exams, I'm finally free!

Present Day

So of course, now as I begin my 18th year of life as an "adult", the first thing I plan on doing is devoting all of my time and financial resources on all things Animal Crossing. _{(What do you mean I can't pay my college tuition in amiibo cards?)}

Now that I actually have a substantial amount of free time for the first time in like four years, I'm excited to get more involved in the Animal Crossing community. I already have a blog on tumblr and have done some trading on Reddit (RMM here), but I think that my specific skills in organization and coding give me a lot to offer Nookipedia.
