Welcome[edit]

Welcome to Nookipedia, JamesDM27!
Nookipedia.png
We're glad you've taken the step to create an account and edit our wiki! With an account you'll now be able to easily edit pages, participate in discussions, watch pages, track your edits, and have access to additional editing tools. You can also create and edit your own user page.

If you intend to continue editing, here are some things to keep in mind:

  • Read our wiki's general use and editing, and privacy policies.
  • Preview your changes before saving them to avoid the need for making corrections afterwards.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes instead of undoing or reinstating changes repeatedly without discussion.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This code will automatically leave your name and a timestamp.

You can find editing tutorials and further information about our policies on the help pages.

Where to start? Check out the The Roost for the latest discussions, or consult the to-do list on the Main Page to see tasks that need to be worked on.
Questions? Feel free to ask a member of staff directly, post your question on the The Roost talk page, or ask about it on our Discord icon Discord server. We're always happy to help!
Thank you for your contributions, and have a great time! -- Nookipedia Staff

Edit warring[edit]

You have changed the word "angry" to "mad" a total of 8 times on the Rasher and Roscoe pages, despite previous edit summaries explaining that "angry" has a clearer connotation compared to "mad."

Also, between the flying saucer and Ribbot pages, you falsely noted at least 7 times that Ribbot has the flying saucer in his default house, despite previous edit summaries explaining that this is not a default item. It is possible for him to have it in his house, but that's as a gifted item, and gifted items are not relevant to the default houses.

Repeatedly inserting your favored edit after it has been reverted, even if you feel that your edit is the correct type, is not the appropriate way to handle your edit being reverted. At that point, the next course of action would be to bring up a discussion regarding the topic, either on the subject's page or on the talk page of the person who reverted the edit. You have reinstated your favored edits over a dozen times now. Do not reinstate these types of edits again without asking for public consensus. HylianAngel (talk) 23:46, July 1, 2025 (EDT)

Final warning[edit]

You have received a final warning from Nookipedia staff.
Despite HylianAngel's message above, you have changed "angry" to "mad" again on Roscoe's article. I'm not going to beat around the bush here: we have been patient long enough and this will be your final warning. I'm happy to discuss further on the talk page about which word fits better, but if you just continue restoring your favored edits, it will result in a longer block from editing Nookipedia. Please ensure you follow Nookipedia policy. This is your final warning. Your next violation will result in being blocked from editing.
Thank you for your cooperation. -- Nookipedia Staff

Better not change that word angry again. JamesDM27 (talk) 20:51, September 28, 2025 (EDT)

Angry vs Mad[edit]

Mad means "very angry", which is why I changed angry to mad in the first place. I searched the word mad on Google and that's exactly what it meant.

Can I ask this one question: why does angry have a clearer connotation compared to mad? They are both synonyms. 67.250.110.96 21:39, August 3, 2025 (EDT)JamesDM27

"Mad" is also synonymous with someone who has the quality of being "crazy" or "insane." "Angry" is sufficient terminology for the pages it is being used on. HylianAngel (talk) 23:01, August 3, 2025 (EDT)

Very true. Now that you explained it, I'll never change the word again. JamesDM27 (talk) 11:45, September 23, 2025 (EDT)

Active discussions category[edit]

Hi, please avoid adding the "active discussions" category to user talk pages (for example, this page). This category is more for actual article talk pages that require community input or votes for proposed changes. For example, if you wanted to propose a potentially contentious change to Roscoe's page, you could create a discussion at Talk:Roscoe and add [[Category:Active discussions]] there. Thank you for your understanding. HylianAngel (talk) 17:42, August 8, 2025 (EDT)

No problem. JamesDM27 (talk) 19:40, August 8, 2025 (EDT)

These Messages Are True[edit]

Just to let Drago and HylianAngel know, these messages on my talk page are indeed true. JamesDM27 (talk) 16:39, October 1, 2025 (EDT)
