Animal Forest e+

There's a user who is making countless edits to pages adding this to the appearance and category sections. What's your verdict on this? I did a search on Google, and there is no evidence of this game having new villagers, only features and furniture. The user seems to only be adding this game, which is obvious vandalism as they should be adding Animal Forest as well. So not sure what to think :/ - MerrytonRyan 15:33, March 14, 2010 (UTC)

Did you notice we got attacked again by that person who seems to be a bit OTT on HRA fan-fiction? I'm wondering whether or not to get in contact with Wikia, to see if they can ban him (not IP ban, more computer lock, if possible). His IP seems to be different for each attack, so an IP block/ban would be useless, and may disrupt use for other people. It's a shame we can't just have registered users edit the Wikia, but as we both know, alot of IP users make some incredibly good contributions to the Wikia :) - MerrytonRyan 21:33, March 22, 2010 (UTC)

Vandalism

Unregistered contributor 130.64.155.45 is doing a lot of edits, and it's the thing with Tom Nook being evil and spike and the freedom fighters and whatnot. IP ban, perhaps. Pinged his IP, timed out.Wiki-Unansered 05:51, March 29, 2010 (UTC)

IP Banning

Alright, I know I haven't been on for a while, but I apparently had new messages on another wiki so I decided I'd check this wiki and see what's been going on. I noticed you'd overtaken me in the Edit Count!

Anyway, a topic on my talk page from around August last year jumped out at me. It was discussing the prospect of locking the wiki so unregistered users cannot edit. I do remember there was an increase in IP spam then and I wonder if it is the same now...

I was thinking this yesterday too, when we got attacked by the individual whos main intention is to go on about cleaning up the streets and some brain dead story about the HRA. How about we edit protect the pages this individual edits, like the HRA, Tom Nook, Redd pages?

Ah, seen it. Anyway, about the IP block think, look at Bulbapedia. They use it there, and I rarely see spam in the recent changes. But they have like, 30 admins on at any given time, whereas we rarely have 2 on at the same time... it's really a question of wheter a user who wishes to spam/vandalize can be bothered to make an account or not. Oh, right. Sorry! Yes, let's ask him. Anyway, on the admin topic, Bulbapedia, being the 2nd/3rd biggest wiki on the internet, is bound to have loads of users, and therefore loads of potential admins. So does the MarioWiki. Now, Animal Crossing is a tiny franchise when compared to those, Mario, and Pokemon. It would be hard, in say the next 6 months, for the wiki to gain even three more admins who are active. -- Dragonfree 19:55, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

So true. I have only seen about a handfull of users make edits to this wiki in the last few months. If that were Bulbapedia, then all would be admins. Hey, sorry to bother you, but who should I contact about DLC news. I mean, what if I recieve something from Nintendo, and it's not listed at the wiki. I recieved a hat called a 'guard's helmet'and a pro design called a 'guard's uniform' and it's designed to look like Copper(from the town gate), and I want to know who I should tell. Thanks! Distributed Items

Evenin'. Do you think we might need to split up the Distributed Items page into regions? I have no idea why we call it PAL (Phase Alternate Line), but I guess the word Alternate suggests we wanted an alternative to video encoding and regions lol. Can't be too bad, the £ dropped recently thanks to our hung parliament (if you've seen anything about the UK elections over there :P). Not sure how to split them... I can't remember if the UK received different items to the French or other European countries... As this is an English wikia, we could have UK, US and Japan? Europe is suffering still too. Have you heard about Greece being financially in trouble? Because we're part of the European Union, all countries suffer :/ Unfortunately, we don't hear much about the US other than anything serious, which is annoying because World News is interesting.
