Bettina (マルコ, Maruko) is an normal mouse villager who makes her first appearance in Animal Crossing: City Folk. As a normal villager, she will appear calm, friendly, and hospitable towards the player. She is the opposite of the snooty personality, appearing self-depreciated and humble. Her name bares no references to her character type or appearance, but her initial quote, "eekers", is a reference to the sound made by mice.
Appearance
Bettina is a dark orange mouse that has yellow cheeks and inner ears. She has short, dark blond hair swept to the side. She initially wears the chef shirt.
Personality

As a normal personality, she will be obsessed with cleanliness in her home. She comes across as polite and helpful, usually giving the Player useful tips in-game, such as the camera options. As a normal villager, she will not have any precise hobbies and will tend to be interested in anything, though furniture and clothing are the usual interests. She may ask the Player from time to time to find an item of clothing or furniture, and will ask kindly and wait patiently until the item arrives. However, if she does not get the item, she will not feel discouraged or put off and will dismiss the item as unwanted. Bettina is obsessed with cooking and will ask to go to your house a lot. She sometimes asks you to catch some fish for her, but she usually asks for easy fish.
House
Her house has a Kitchen/Food theme. She has the pothos, picnic table, deluxe stove, potbelly stove, kitchen sink, sink, and refrigerator, as well as the Sweets wall and floor from GracieGrace. Bettina listens to K.K. Swing on her jukebox.
