The Post Office is a building in Animal Crossing where players can mail letters to other players, or to animals living in the town. Players also pay off their House in the Post Office, and can store money in a bank account there. You can also save old letters, which can be used for additional storage of items. In Animal Crossing: Wild World, the Post Office was moved into the Town Hall, which also worked as the Wishing Well. Right outside the Post Office there is a Billboard where the town tune is displayed. Unlike later games, the billboard that you can post messages up on is by the players' houses instead. During the day, the clerk will be Pelly, who is very nice to the Player, but during the night the clerk will be Phyllis, her sister, who will be very rude. Pete the pelican also works here; he is the one who delivers all the mail via flying. On the left side of the office, there is a small machine inside that lets you enter E-Reader codes.
