Alfonso (アルベルト,[1] Albert) is a lazy alligator villager from the Animal Crossing series. He appears in 🎬 Gekijōban Doubutsu no Mori as a major character, and Yu's best friend. His catchphrase, "it's a me" is a reference to the famous Nintendo character, Mario. He also looks like a krokorock from pokemon.

Appearance

Alfonso's design has elements of Nintendo's mascot Mario from the Super Mario Bros. series. Alfonso not only mimics Mario's "it's a me" quote as his initial phrase, but he also wears the Big Bro Shirt, which features the "M" emblem on Mario's cap. He is a burnt-umber orange with a white jaw, cheeks, and stomach. There are darker circles of orange on his face, legs, and arms.

Personality

Below is a brief description of the lazy personality. For more information, click here.

As a lazy villager, Alfonso will be easy to get along with due to his laid back lifestyle. Like all lazy villagers, he shares a love of food and relaxing. In Animal Crossing: Wild World, he will mention his dream of diving in, for example, a pool of chocolate. He will enjoy partaking in the usual hobbies, usually for relaxing reasons or for food, when fishing. He will get along well with other villagers, but may offend or confuse jock villagers, who have a conflicting lifestyle of exercise and fitness, compared to the lazy lifestyle of relaxing and food. He will get along with other lazy villagers with whom he will talk about food, comics or superheroes. He will also get along well with normal and peppy villagers, but may from time to time annoy snooty and cranky villagers, who disagree with the lazy lifestyle.

Alfonso was a major character in 🎬 Gekijōban Doubutsu no Mori, as Yu's best friend. As the movie was only released in Japan, his name in the movie is Albert. He was voiced by Takatoshi Kaneko.[2]

Albert is first seen when Ai delivers 500 pies to him, after which Yu runs by chasing a butterfly to catch it. Albert runs back into his house to get his net and follows suit. Later, they dig holes all over the place by the beach to find an ammonite. Rosie, known as "Bouquet" in the movie, says she's seen many more of them somewhere else. Albert, Yu, Bouquet, Ai, and Sally search for the ammonites in a giant cave. During a Fireworks Show, Albert is seen with Yu when Crazy Redd sells him a fake golden slingshot. After Sally moves out, Albert and Yu play tricks on the villagers with pitfalls, and Ai falls into one, but she just gets up with barely any reaction at all. At the Winter Festival, Albert helps find Johnny's lost UFO parts.
