The album cover for "Animal City" depicts a pastel sketch of the city. K.K. Slider performs by the fountain of [[Serena]], while [[Bunnie]], [[Mint]], [[Monique]], and [[Wolfgang]] watch. The [[GracieGrace]] and [[auction house]] buildings are visible in the back. [[Lily]] and [[Kicks]], the latter in his ''City Folk'' design, are also seen on the right side of the cover. "Animal City" is written in orange script at the top.

The aircheck of this song can be obtained from one of these villagers after visiting their house by their favor.

In {{HHP}}, "Animal City" is played in the houses of [[Billy]], [[Freya]], [[Hornsby]], and [[Merengue]].

Prior to "Animal City" becoming a K.K. Slider song in {{NL|short|nolink}}, a version of the city music from {{CF|short|nolink}} with vocals by K.K. Slider appears on the soundtrack CDs ''[[Machi e Ikou yo Doubutsu no Mori ~Mori no Ongakukai~]]'' and ''[[Animal Crossing: Your Favorite Songs - Original Soundtrack]]'' under the name "Town Square (K.K. Live Version)". The track is identical to what would later be used in {{NL|short|nolink}}, except it is slightly faster and lower quality.

==Trivia==
*In regards to the track included as a live performance on the soundtrack CD, composer [[Kazumi Totaka]] said in an interview in ''Nintendo DREAM'' Vol. 182 that he envisioned K.K. playing the song in the city square, sitting in front of the fountain. This is exactly what would be depicted on the album cover in {{NH|short|nolink}}.
* Ironically, all of the villagers who own this song originate from Animal Crossing: City Folk.
