Template:Infobox Painting The Calm Painting is a painting that can be obtained in Wild World and City Folk. It is based on a painting by Viennese artist Georges Seurat, entitled A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte. It was painted using pointillism, a method by which the artist uses dots to create a blur of colours, and is one of the most well-known examples of its kind. A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte was painted from from 1884 to 1886.

Unfortunately, with age, the yellow colors used by Seurat have faded into browns due to the compound he used, zinc chromate. Due to the fact that this color degrades over time (and is also toxic, carcinogenic, and can result in death with prolonged exposure), it is rarely used in art.

In the Animal Crossing series, the Calm Painting has a Colorful/Brown feng shui. It can be donated to the museum.
