The U.F.O. is a disc-like object that flies over the player's town on one random weekday, between sunrise and noon. Gulliver, the captain of the U.F.O., calls it the Porpoise 5000, which is a reference to Captain Olimar's ship in the Pikmin games, the S.S. Dolphin, both of which are named after types of sea mammal that are closely related. It only appears in Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk. If shot down with a slingshot, Gulliver will be found next to it. If talked to, he will ask the player to find the missing pieces that fell out of his ship during the crash. If the player agrees and the parts are found, he will reward them with a rare piece of furniture, all of which are unable to be purchased from the catalog at Tom Nook's Store. It will be one of these:
