Rockin' K.K. is a song played by K.K. Slider. in Animal Crossing, Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk. It has a quick tempo and a happy, rockabilly/classic rock theme. Despite the name, it is not actually an original K.K. song. it is nearly exactly copied from the Japanese game series Mother, in which it is called "Hippie Battle Theme". The game Mother also has references in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, in which the song was due to be played, but was taken out for copyrighted reasons due to the fact that it sounds similar to the Chuck Berry's song "Johnny B. Goode". Despite this, Rockin' K.K. is still in the game, sung by K.K. Slider on Saturday nights on the Smashville stage. The main character in Mother 2 (Earthbound in the english version) is called Ness, and has specified his favorite past-time as Rockin. This may have given its name to the song. This song sometimes gets confused with K.K. Rock, which has a similar name. Freya, Pudge, Rosie and Rolf play it on their stereos.
