Boomer: Human, did your love for bugs caused you to harness this huge pile of tarantulas? It would seem so given you...so called "love" for them.
Ketchup: Oh. My. God. Did you cheated on me with these tarantulas? I can't believe you!
Carrie: I'm more certainly unimpressed by the amount of tarantulas you had in your collection compared to the gifts you provided me, little one.

Can you believe it! It's finally Festivale! Loads of feathers are flooding the entire island, so I hope you can catch these feathers and use them to make something magical!

Hurricane announcements
Idea thought of on September 3, 2020. Thought would be fun to imagine dialogue for Animal Crossing: New Horizons for if a hurricane was in the game.
- Prior to a hurricane with all cloudy weather
Hmm...the weather seems to look menacing today. The wind speeds are going wild, there seems to be a likelihood of rain, there's a bunch of clouds lately...I'm scared to think that maybe there is a hurricane coming our way. We better make sure our island is safe as possible, so make sure you prepare before tomorrow comes.
- Prior to a hurricane with clear weather turning cloudy
The weather's pretty nice today. Sadly, I feel like after this is over, our island could be hit by a hurricane tomorrow. So let's not only try to enjoy today as much as possible, but to make our island as safe as possible!
- Prior to a hurricane between November 26-December 7 (Northern) and May 26-June 7 (Southern)
As much as I am excited for our weather to see some snow later on down the line, I feel something is slightly off. Like the winds are starting to pick up the more the day goes on, possibly indicating some sort of hurricane. I want our winter days to be as safe as possible, so let's all prepare for what could be a windy situation.

It seems as though our winds are picking up in speed as we progress further into the day. It could be some type of hurricane coming our way. That's really rare to come by. Usually hurricanes love warm waters to generate, so feeling some sort of hurricane coming by is really special. However, as much as this is a rare moment to happen on <island name>, please be careful and prepare for tomorrow. I don't want anyone hurt by this system.

I have to say, the more we approach warmer temperatures, the more we are likely to see hurricanes form during this time of year. We have to prepare for this calamity, so do your best to prepare and stay safe!

The nightmares have become true. We are experiencing the first hurricane that has threaten the livelihood of <island name>. Whatever you do, take care of yourself! Take inside as much as possible, and watch out for anything that may come your way. Let's make sure this hurricane does not ruin our peaceful island as much as possible!

Well, it looks like that special day has come true. Today is indeed our first snow of the year, but also it looks like it's one of those rare moments where a hurricane is indeed happening in the dead of winter. Now, I'm no hurricane or weather expert, but what I can tell you is to stay safe as much as possible!
Looking back at my old, weird opinions of NPCs
Originally written on June 9, 2020, I went through each special NPC and wrote a summary on how I felt about them. I decided to also dispute some of them now.
Kicks
If Able Sisters wasn't selling shoes, Kicks would've been very useful. Alas, he only sell bags and shoes and what do you know he's a worthless skunk he should've had a storefront instead, that's stupid. Lame ass NPC, should not be weekly as often.
- (Really outdated after version 1.3.0 made Kicks no longer a weekly requirement, and future updates made him more bearable)
Wisp
It's really out of the air if Wisp will give you a furniture item that hold value or is something you already own. Only reason to even do his tasks is to gain Nook Miles for it.
- (The 2.0 Free Update made Wisp a bit more bearable to interact with to gain better furniture items)
Label
Getting Label is like spitting on someone's sundae. I mean, her task is simple: change clothing to what theme she's looking for and she'll fashion check you alright. My problem is that it's not too often for Label to sell any of her brand clothing to Able Sisters after you get said clothing, and all you get from Label is Tailor Tickets, which would've definitely been useful had not bells been broken thanks to dupes and turnips. This, coupled with the fact that she takes up one of two NPC slots that are available, and she's not a good visitor you want to see on your island. I'd rather want her back in Able Sisters.
- (Somehwat calmed down with the removal of Saharah, Kicks, and Leif as weekly visitors, but I still agree that Label is just...pointless)
Gulliver
The furniture that Gulliver provides is great! The problem is that it's up in the air whether he'll give an item you desire or a worthless headwear that mean nothing. If you want to get all his furniture, you gotta get lucky if he's one of only two villagers that will appear each week. And that's made worse if you want to create a Robot Hero, which requires rusted part, parts that only appear if you don't give Gulliver his parts back or one will spawn in Residental Service recycling bin, not to mention he's the only way to obtain the golden shovel, which requires 30 visits, with consider the rate he shows up it kinda make it irritating to go around your beach just to dig up communication parts.
- (Still agree on this one. At least I got the Golden Shovel.)
Redd
With him forcing players to buy one art piece at a time and showing infrequently, it can be really irritating to complete the art exhibit should you have difficulty trying to get the art that you need. It is made much worse if for whatever reason you happen upon his store and all you get is fake art. That's annoying. You can't even guarantee to visit someone's else for Redd is that person purchased the only real art of the bunch. It's terrible, and I really wished he didn't have to fight against Label, C.J., Flick, and Gulliver for spots, because he's super hard to come by thanks to three spots taken by trash skunk, a meh camel, and an okay sloth.
- (With Redd now appearing on Harv's Island, this opinion isn't as harsh. Still though, his art on Harv's Island will almost certainly have a fake art each time you check his vendor out, and switching his inventory requires you to purchase his...art...)
Celeste
I like how Celeste just gives you DIYs pretaining to space-related items like a Rover, a astronaut suit, the freaking moon. But you gotta deal with the huge barriage of wands that Celeste will give you, which is worthless since all the wands will use the same wand outfit every time. Even the first item you're given by Celeste is wand, she doesn't need to give you a wand DIY, why can't the villagers just craft them themselves? She's just on another scale of Gulliver, but at least once you get the DIYs you can get these items once again by crafting them. It's not like with Gulliver where you have to do his tasks over and over again just to get the same item. Alas, once you do get all the DIYs she does gives you five star fragments. Why not one large star fragment, or heck a zodiac fragment when you first meet her after a start of a new zodiac season? She's never guaranteed to be on a date where shooting stars can occur, and can only appear in four weather patterns, so I don't like getting normal star fragments when large star fragments are harder to come by.
- (Turns out I was dumb, she does give out a Large Star Fragment and a Zodiac Fragment based on the current zodiac. Other than that...my opinions haven't changed, she's still nice to have around.)
Leif
I think he's a decent NPC visitor. The fact that he stocks flowers that aren't in Nook's Cranny and sells bushes is dandy enough to warrant being a weekly visitor. So I don't really blink a eye whenever he's in town, I just think in the future, he should integrate into Nook's Cranny.
- (Still waiting on that Nook's Cranny upgrade Nintendo. I'm waiting...)
Mabel
Until Able Sisters is open, Mabel is extremely vital to gain access to clothing you may or not have already. Shirts, pants, socks, shoes, dresses, you name it! Of course she does stop being a regular visitor once Able Sisters is open and you really need to buy a lot from her for her to open the Able Sisters. Even then, I do think Mabel is by far one of the best NPCs in the game simply because you gain access to the clothing that you may not be able to obtain until later and it's crucial to buy a lot of clothing in order to obtain the Able Sisters store should you need more clothing to disperse at.

C.J./Flick
Grouping these two togther since they basically have the same function: sell critters at 1.5x their normal price at Nook's Cranny and will make figures of various critters. While C.J. does force you to do a seasport challenge, which does make it irritating, he's very crucial during the rich months of summer since a lot of fishes during this time are up for grabs, such as the Great White Shark. Selling each to C.J. will guarantee you a lot of bells to obtain. But C.J.'s mostly a seasonal thing, the person that really comes to mind on farming bells is Flick. Two mystery islands in New Horizons were collectively called Tarantula Island and Scorpion Island, and for good reason: they're island that only spawn these specific bugs, which combined with the fact that they cost in Nook's Cranny 8,000 bells, makes them vital to obtain if you're planning to pay off your house loans or need to build a bridge among water. Flick also isn't a seasonal thing; the issue with C.J. is that when it's summer there's a lot of rare fishes that can be obtained, but when it's winter, those rare fishes boil down to five, not counting fishes that are rare and year-round. With Flick, since tarantula and scorpions does some switching every six months, it's a guaranteed money for each time you land on either island. The only reason why they're grouped together boils down to what style you prefer to make money. If you're a person that is expert at trapping dangerous creatures or spending nights just to catch some rare bugs, Flick is for you. If you're more into collecting manila clams and don't mind the barrage of sea bass, black bass, and carp coming in your way, C.J. is you for. Honestly, I do feel like having either them means there's potential to make money off of each of them, but it's also good for either of them to make a model for whatever critter I have out in the open.

A sea bass/black bass has a total cost of 
400 Bells.
To pay off all your housing expansion, you would need to fish 14,240 fishes.
Since you can only fish 30 fishes before your fishing rod breaks, you need to craft 475 Fishing Rods to even finish paying off your loan. That means 
475× Iron Nugget and 2375× Tree Branch are requires. That's 79 stacks of tree branches! And nearly 16 stacks of iron nuggets!
Have customization kits? Good job! That's 475 customization kits or 285,000 Bells required to get them all.

The viability of scorpion/tarantula farming

- January: Nope, damselfly.
- February: Nope, still damselfly plus tiger beetles.
- March: Sorta, if you're into digging for mole crickets and chasing tiger beetles away for any tarantulas.
- April: Not likely, any islands that has water is fucked thanks to Giant Water Bugs. Bamboo island is safe bet for tarantulas.
- May: Not likely, same situation with April only now with scorpions.
- June: Nope, fireflies and mosquitos REALLY fuck up scorpion spawns.
- July: Not likely, mosquitos, earth-boring dung beetles, and tiger beetles are a huge problem; also palm tree bugs are more viable.
- August: Not likely, same situation with July.
- September: Nope, mosquitos, crickets, bell crickets, earth-boring dung beetles, tiger beetles; literally EVERYTHING is against you this month.
- October: Not likely, it's impossible to scare off a cricket and bell cricket as easy as possible.
- November: Nope, mole crickets are back, plus damselfly
- December: Nope, damselfly.
