Timmy (まめきち, Mamekichi) and Tommy (つぶきち, Tsubukichi) are twin nephews of Tom Nook, the tanuki (Raccoon outside Japan) who runs the town's store. They look after the upper floor of Nookington's, which their uncle owns. The upper floor sells furniture, flooring, and carpets. Timmy and Tommy have much the same function as Tom Nook - both uncle and nephews can buy items the player is selling, show the player the catalog, and state how much turnips are currently selling for.

Timmy and Tommy attempt to speak in unison, but one always lags behind the other, causing one to repeat every last word the other one of them says. They are twins and both share resemblance to Tom Nook, even mimicking some of his phrases. Apparently, from some discussions with Tom Nook, the two can be distinguished by a mole on one of their hands. Tom Nook also says that he adopted them because they took an interest in business life. Timmy is slightly more high pitched.

When the player tells what item they want, whichever twin that is closer will help you out. Timmy and Tommy are smaller than Tom Nook and the player.
