This article is all about using categories on Nookipedia. It will teach you how to add categories, and how to implement them into various articles.

What is a category?

A category is a page grouping similar articles together. They are grouped alphabetically and can contain an unlimited amount of sub-categories. Site related articles use them a lot, for example this article is in the Help Category. Categories are displayed at the bottom of the page. Occasionally a certain template can automatically put the article in a certain category.

Adding Categories

Usually regular users who add a category for no reason or a category that there is already a category for will have them deleted. The staff mostly use categories to help them and the other members in finding articles.

Adding an article to a category

To add an article to a category include [[Category:NAME OF CATEGORY]] anywhere in the article, although the bottom is most preferred.
