The [[Pond]], also called a '''Holding Pond''', is the smallest body of water in a {{SER}} [[town]]. It is the small patch of water that would probably fit inside a six-by-six sized room in the [[player]]'s house. There are usually two ponds in every town, with some towns having a third or fourth depending on the layout, and some towns having only one. It is the only body of water that is not part of the [[river to ocean system]], which includes the [[river]], the [[waterfall]], the [[river pool]] and the [[ocean]], therefore it is limited in the number of fish that can be caught. The fish are small and not worth much. Only two bugs are found in ponds; the [[Pondskater|pondskater]] and [[Diving Beetle|diving beetle]]. Some fish are exclusively found in them, though, including the [[Crawfish]], but are sold for little as well. Also, if you try to fish in it during the winter, you'll get a can, old boot, or tire. It's suggested that the [[player]] fishes in the river or ocean at this time.
