Why so many removed?
In Wild World, why did so many bugs and fish get removed. Removed bugs include the Drone Beetle, Pine Cricket, Purple Butterfly, Mountain Beetle, Common Dragonfly, Crab, Coconut Crab, Hermit Crab, and Spotted Ladybug. Why did they all get removed in Wild World? They should've stayed in my opinion, it would be kinda cool to have crabs in City Folk. Why did they get removed in Wild World? Thanks!--24.150.217.182 08:16, July 1, 2017 (EDT)

:This is unconstructive discussion (not related to improving the article). I'd suggest joining the Discord server to talk about this. == Spawn Rates ==

Thanks to the information provided here: https://wuffs.org/acnh/insects120.html, we can include the actual spawn rates of all the Bugs (or "Net Catchables") in New Horizons. But I don't want to just add that info in to either this page or the individual pages (as I'm sure someone would hate however I did it and simply remove the information rather than clean it up). Any advice/help?JarieSuicune (talk) 19:27, May 9, 2020 (EDT)

:My apologies for the slow response. I agree that these spawn rates help give a sense of the relative rarity of each bug, but without seeing the entire table it's hard to understand what is meant by an individual value, especially when some of these values exceed 100, implying they are not a % spawn chance. Perhaps we could develop a qualitative scale (very rare, rare, uncommon... etc.) and the spawn rate is given in addition to this qualitative descriptor, for example: Spawn rate: 5 (very rare). I'd be interested to hear other opinions on this though. ::I think it might actually be %, because the only exceeding 100 are the crafting materials and the petals were everywhere and are more of a special case. I agree with including the worded rarity as well because that's how the game tells us the numbers. It would make sense to put it in the already existing rarity field in the infobox and critter info template and the game's table. == "Further Information" name change proposal ==

For the bugs and sea creature, could the heading "Further Information" be changed to something like "In The Real World" or something along those lines? I was might make it easier for readers to tell what those sections are saying. :I would agree on a change. Further Information makes it sound like the sections contain further details about the critters' appearances in AC! ::::Something like "Real-world information" might work. :Support the change to "Real-world information". There's no set number of users that need to provide consensus, Thedarkcave. I would reach out to SuperHamster as he's the leader of Project Museum and if he's cool with it then I would say go ahead. Without his input I would wait a day or two and then if there is no objection here then the change can be made. This is a change that would affect quite a few pages which is why it's good to get multiple opinions/wait a little bit. :Support I've never really thought about how ambiguous that section name actually is. We should apply this change to fish, fossils, and paintings as well. BladeofEvilsBane (talk) 19:25, September 9, 2020 (EDT)
