Animal Crossing Ahead was one of the larger Animal Crossing series fansites on the internet. It was the first Animal Crossing series fansite ever. It was founded by a person named Josh in the summer of 2002. The forums were founded in 2008 under the domain acforums.megadoomer.com. The forums grew in popularity. On February 21st, 2009, a new look was released for the site, that had the Bulletin Board as a news area on the front page of the website.
The site appears to have been taken down, as attempting to visit the site's main page will simply redirect to "GoDaddy.com."
