In Animal Crossing, the Recycling Bin is the dump
The recycling bin is used for putting unwanted items in. There may be furniture, hats, paper, etc. By sending someone lots of furniture or clothes they are more likely to put things in the recycling bin. Garbage and cans also go in the bin.
