Paint enables you to change the color of the roof of your house. Paint can be bought from all of Nook's upgraded shops. Prices vary by different colors. Grey is very cheap, while purple would be more expensive. When a mortgage is payed of this enables you to change the roof color as Tom Nook will ask what color to put on the plans. In Animal Crossing: City Folk, paint can be bought from Nook 'n' Go. In Animal Crossing all paint colors cost 800 bells. Also in Animal Crossing, a villager will randomly paint a player's house.
