Paint

From Nookipedia, the Animal Crossing wiki

Paint is an item in Animal Crossing, Animal Crossing: Wild World, and Animal Crossing: City Folk that allows the player to change the roof color of their house. Paint can be purchased from Tom Nook's store and the available colors change on a daily basis. In New Leaf and New Horizons, paint does not appear; instead, different roof colors and designs can be purchased.

After the player pays off their mortgage, Tom Nook will ask them what color they want their roof to be. After buying a can of paint it takes one day for the roof color to change. Players can only buy paint in their town; Tom Nook will not sell to those visiting from another town.

Appearances[edit]

In Animal Crossing[edit]

In Animal Crossing paint can be purchased from Nookway or Nookington's for 800 Bells. The player can also enlist Wisp to paint it after catching five Spirits. Talking to a villager may also cause them to paint the player's roof, though the color cannot be chosen.
