Talk:Redd
Species
The article describes him as being a kitsune in Japan, and a fox elsewhere. That's pretty stupid. It would be like saying Rover is un chat in France, but he's a cat elsewhere.
My point is, a kitsune IS a fox. There's no other way to say fox! Tanuki is different, because the actual SPECIES is different (raccoon dog vs. raccoon).
Anyone object to changing it?-Vulpes 21:36, 4 December 2010 (EST)
- It does seem kind of ridiculous. :P --Jake 21:37, 4 December 2010 (EST)
The game calls him a fox, I believe. Which is what he is.-Vulpes 21:43, 4 December 2010 (EST)
- So, is fox the exact same word for kitsune? So, if I went to Google Translate, I would get kitsune if I put in fox? Super (duh...)Alpaca 21:50, 4 December 2010 (EST)
- If you put it in in kanji, yes.-Vulpes 21:53, 4 December 2010 (EST)
It's also worth noting that if you take the first three characters of Redd's Japanese name, Tsunekichi, and add the last character to the front you get Kitsune. Doing something like that certainly fits with his deceitful personality. -Coatlmon 2:20 March 4, 2016 (EDT)
Appearance in NH
According to a datamine, you need at least 60 items donated to the museum for Redd to appear. I feel like this needs noting somewhere. AgentParadox (talk) 20:31, May 1, 2020 (EDT)
