Since DAL is used as an official airline code/stock exchange acronym for Delta Air Lines, I don't think Nintendo would purposely make an acronym that could refer to a real-life trademarked name not owned by them, due to legal reasons and possible free advertisement for Delta. - I'd say its more of a coincidence than anything. Since DAL is used as an official airline code/stock exchange acronym for Delta Air Lines, I don't think Nintendo would purposely make an acronym that could refer to a real-life trademarked name not owned by them, due to legal reasons and possible free advertisement for Delta.
