'''Weeding Day''' is an event in {{NL}} that only occurs after the [[Garden Shop]] on [[Main Street]] has been constructed. [[Leif]] will be present in the [[event plaza]] during the day and will inform the [[player]] of how many [[weed]]s are in [[town]]. He will give the player rewards for pulling weeds, and unlock special [[public works project]]s if no weeds are present when the event begins. Players can also participate in Weeding Day in another player's town.

Weeding Day takes place at different times of the year depending on the player's region:
*[[March]] 2nd in South Korea
*The last Friday in [[April]] in North America
*The last Saturday in April in Europe
*[[September]] 3rd in Japan

==Event==
On Weeding Day, [[Leif]] will be at the [[event plaza]] where he will tell the player how many weeds ([[clovers]] do not count) are in the town, when all these are pulled, Leif will give the player one of twelve pieces of [[furniture]] from the [[Flower Set]]. Certain items from the Flower Set, however, are obtainable only if the player removes weeds in other players' towns.
