Hey Will - just a heads up, there is no need to replace higher-quality PNGs with JPGs in order to save space, even if the JPGs are of only slightly worse quality to the naked eye. It's a good thought, but we're not tight on memory, and a size difference of a few dozen KBs isn't much in regards to load time. Ideally we'd want to provide the highest quality images possible for readers, as our images can often serve as an image repository. ~SuperHamster Talk 01:10, 21 June 2013 (EDT)
OK, thanks! Will1982 11:05, 21 June 2013 (EDT)
- No prob! Keep up the good work :)
Hey Will - just a copy of the quick answer I gave to your question about copied Wikipedia content:
- "We actually have a template to use for that purpose, which goes at the bottom of the article: Template:Wikipedia. There are a couple of articles it's used on. Ideally, though, it is best to create original content for the sake of consistency and simplicity, among other reasons. Otherwise, yep, copied content with a compatible license could be attributed with a footnote."
