'''Tigers''' are a species of [[villager]] in the {{SER}}, often viewed, alongside the [[lion]], as the feline equivalent of the [[wolf]]. They are one of three types of [[cat|large cat]] that appear in the games. They have rounded heads with three fur spikes on each cheek, rounded ears set high on their heads, prominent upper jaws, and thick cat-like tails.

There are seven tiger villagers, of which four are male and three are female, making it a predominantly male species. Three are [[jock]], two are [[peppy]], one is [[cranky]], and one is [[snooty]]. [[Rowan]] was originally a cranky [[islander]] before becoming a jock villager in {{WW}}. There are currently no [[lazy]], [[normal]], [[smug]], or [[big sister]] tigers.

Due to Tybalt returning in the {{NLWa}} update, the tiger, along with the [[horse]] and the [[rabbit]], is the second villager species in which all of the villagers of that species appear in the same game together after {{DnMe+}}, the first being the [[octopus (species)|octopus]]. Despite this, the tiger is one of seven villager species that was completely absent from {{PC}} prior to updates, and currently only [[Bangle]] is absent. Additionally, [[Rolf]] is the only tiger to appear in every game so far.

Before the {{NH}} [[Animal Crossing: New Horizons/Update history/1.9.0|1.9.0 Free Update]], the tiger was the only species to have all of its villagers throughout the series appear in this game; it is now tied with [[deer]] and [[rabbit]].
