Tigers are a species of villager in the Animal Crossing series, often viewed, alongside the lion, as the feline equivalent of the wolf. They are one of three types of large cat that appear in the games. They have rounded heads with three fur spikes on each cheek, rounded ears set high on their heads, prominent upper jaws, and thick cat-like tails.
There are seven tiger villagers so far; four males and three females. Three are jocks, two are peppy, one is cranky, and one is snooty. Additionally, Rowan was originally a cranky islander before becoming a jock villager in Animal Crossing: Wild World. There are no lazy, smug, normal, or uchi tigers.
Due to Tybalt returning in the Welcome amiibo update for New Leaf, the tiger, along with the horse and the rabbit, is the second villager species where all the villagers in that species appear in the same game together, the first being the octopus. Despite this, the tiger is one of seven villager species that was completely absent from Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp prior to updates, and currently only Bianca, Claudia, and Rowan are present in this game; Bangle, Leonardo, Rolf, and Tybalt are currently absent.
