Frogs are a species in the Animal Crossing series, appearing exclusively as villagers. Frogs have round eyes on the tops of large rounded heads, and most have wide mouths. Some frogs are seen to have nostrils, or even noses, but most do not. Frogs are one of the two species that appear as both sentient villagers and also as fish, the other being Octopuses.
There are twenty frog villagers so far, thirteen of which are male, and only seven of which are female, making frogs a predominantly male species. Of the frogs, five are jocks, four are normal, three are cranky, three are lazy, two are smug, one is peppy, one is snooty, and one is uchi. Huck, one of the smug frogs, previously had a lazy personality. In addition, only Emerald and Sunny have not reappeared since Doubutsu no Mori e+.
- The frogs, alongside the mice and the squirrels, are the only species to retain their classic physique in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
