Frogs are a species of villager in the Animal Crossing series. They have round eyes on the tops of large rounded heads, and most have wide mouths. Some frogs are seen to have nostrils—or even noses—but most do not.
There are twenty frog villagers, of which thirteen are male and seven are female, making it a predominantly male species. Of these, five are jock, four are normal, three are lazy, three are cranky, two are smug, one is peppy, one is snooty, and one is big sister. One of the smug frogs, Huck, previously had the lazy personality.
Emerald and Sunny are the only frogs who have not reappeared since Doubutsu no Mori e+. All of the frogs who appear in Animal Crossing: New Horizons also appear in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.

Trivia[edit]
- The frogs, alongside the mice and the squirrels, are the only species to retain their original body proportions in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
- Frogs are one of the two species that appear as both villagers and as a donatable creature, the other being octopuses.
- In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons, frogs will not use umbrellas in the rain, and may mention how refreshing the weather is to them.
- Each frog owns a default umbrella even though they do not use them.
- The only other character to never use an umbrella is Wardell.
