Sheep are a species of villager in the Animal Crossing series. Their wool can vary in color and style, but all sheep have large curled horns, and they also seem to lack the ears of their real-life counterparts. Since they are wearing their wool, they wore scarves bearing the designs of shirts or custom designs instead of actually wearing shirts in all Animal Crossing series media up to Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. However, in Animal Crossing: New Horizons they can now wear shirts like other villager species.
Sixteen sheep villagers have appeared so far, of which five are male, and eleven are female. Of the sheep, four are normal, one is peppy, four are snooty, two are big sister, three are jocks, and two are smug. There are no lazy or, as of Animal Crossing: New Leaf, cranky sheep, as Curlos was reclassified from cranky to smug. In addition, Gen and Woolio have not reappeared since Doubutsu no Mori e+.
