Skunks are a species of special characters in the Animal Crossing series. The only skunk in the Animal Crossing series, Kicks, made his first appearance in Animal Crossing: City Folk, where he operates a shoe-shining service in the city. He returned in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, where he owns a shoe shop. He has retained his role of selling footwear in every Animal Crossing game since then, along with appearing as a costume in Super Mario Maker. Blaire and Tasha somewhat resemble skunks, but they are actually squirrels.
