Elephants are a species of villager in the Animal Crossing series. They are characterized by their trunks and big floppy ears, as well as their portly bellies. Although tusks are also a defining feature of elephants, only one possesses a pair. Nearly all of the elephants are also depicted with half-smiling mouths on the left side of their faces, with the only exceptions being Axel, Cyd, Tia, and Tucker.
There are thirteen elephant villagers, one of which is an islander. Seven are female and six are male, making it a predominantly female species. Of these, four are lazy, three are normal, two are peppy, two are snooty, one is jock, and one is cranky. There are currently no smug or big sister elephants.
Elina is the only elephant who has not reappeared since Doubutsu no Mori e+. All of the elephants who appear in Animal Crossing: New Horizons also appear in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.
