- "It is thought that the goddess of victory was supposed to look as if she was on front of a boat."
- — Museum Exhibit, Animal Crossing: New Leaf
The Valiant Statue is a marble sculpture first introduced in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. It is based on the Nike of Samothrace. The artist is unknown, and it was created around 190 BC. The art is one of the most celebrated pieces of sculpture, and it was created to honor Nike and a sea battle. The statue was discovered in the island of Samothrace and first published in 1863.
In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, the statue is displayed in the second art room, on the bottom right corner.
Authenticity
In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, if the statue has bat wings instead of feathery wings, then it is a forgery.
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the forged statue has an imperfect appearance, as if it were a cheap plaster duplicate. If the statue's wings are uneven sizes and its left leg is in front, it is fake; the real statue has parallel wings and its right leg in front.
