Usage

I think we should avoid using this template. A large banner at the top of the page is distracting and should only be used for more impactful notices (pending deletion, cheat warning, etc.). A title being conjectural can be sufficiently covered in the prose. We could write a sentence in the lead, or add a note in parentheses with a footnote with more detail, e.g.:

Catch quote (conjectural name[nb 1])
  1. The title of this article is conjectural as an official name for this subject is unknown. The name for this article has instead been taken from that one that is commonly used within the community.

Support Support I think a simple note will suffice for conjectural names. ~ AlexBot2004 (Talk) 19:38, September 20, 2020 (EDT)
Neutral Neutral I think that a template should be used to be explicitly clear, but I think that the current one uses way too many words and could be condensed into a simple "This page's name is conjectural / It has been given a suitable name by the editors". Trig - 23:58, September 20, 2020 (EDT)
