Featured articles are top-quality articles presented in the main page. They are chosen by our editors. If an article meets or exceeds Nookipedia's featured article quality standards, it can be nominated to be featured. Here are the standards articles must meed or exceed to be considered featured.

The article must...
  1. ...be well-written, standard, and encyclopedic. This means there is good grammar, proper spelling, no bias, and no opinions,.
  2. ...cover information from all appearances in the Animal Crossing series. Otherwise, the information must be complete.
  3. ...be free from all improvement tags (such as {{construction}}, {{cleanup}})
  4. ...contain a reasonable amount of good-quality images.
  5. ...have a minimal amount of red links.
  6. ...have a long enough lead paragraph to present in the main page.
  7. ...have a reasonable length.
  8. ...adhere to any article-related policies

Nomination process

As long as an editor is autoconfirmed, they can nominate articles to be featured by submitting a nomination in the section below. The voting process works similarly to voting on featured images; registered users may use the templates above to vote or make comments. Once they have voted, they must sign their comments with ~~~~.

Nominations will be held open for at least a week for users to vote - at the end of the voting period, a Administrator, Bureaucrat, or Director will determine the result and close the vote, and will feature the article if the nomination passes. Votes that are inadequately supported or irrelevant may not be included for the sake of consensus.

Once the article is featured, a {{feature}} badge is placed on the top of the article.

Articles can also be removed from their featured status if there is a major flaw or if the article does not maintain changing standards.

A list of featured articles can be found here.

Example article

This article follows all standards and is complete. It should be featured.

Support Support Oh, yes it should.
Oppose Oppose Actually, the trivia section is way too long and there is missing information on New Leaf.
Comment Comment The images can be improved, but it's not the difference between featured and failed.
