:I'd say its more of a coincidence than anything. Since DAL is used as an official airline code/stock exchange acronym for Delta Air Lines, I don't think Nintendo would purposely make an acronym that could refer to a real-life trademarked name not owned by them, due to legal reasons and possible free advertisement for Delta. The fact that they share initials could go in a trivia section, but it would have to be noted that it is unknown whether it is intentional or not.
