Incorrect naming

I would just like to point out that “Great” white shark isn’t their real name. I know they call it a Great white shark in the game, so you can’t change it, but it is incorrect.Barreleye (talk) 15:53, May 30, 2021 (EDT)

We follow what the in-game text describes the fish as. We generally leave their real name reserved to the "Real-life information" section. For instance, the Emperor Butterfly isn't the real name of the butterfly (it's called Blue Morpho), however, the in-game text refers it as "Emperor butterfly", and considering how many Animal Crossing fans are going to want to search up this creature, we use Emperor butterfly in this case.

I'm sure we can provide redirects to their correct names, but I don't think that's necessary. I doubt anyone will search up "white shark" or "Carcharodon carcharias". -- PanchamBro (talk • contributions) 18:34, May 30, 2021 (EDT)
