Harv's Island
Harv's Island is a location introduced in Animal Crossing: New Horizons where Harvey lives. Here, the player is able to take photos with villagers living on their island and Animal Crossing amiibo. The ability to visit Harv's Island is unlocked after Harvey visits the island and chats. It does not cost anything to visit Harv's Island.
On the first visit to Harv's Island, he explains that players may borrow items unlocked in the Nook Shopping Catalog and configure indoor scenes with the intent to stage photos.
Using Amiibos
Once inside Photopia, the player may tap an amiibo and that character's model will appear inside. The player has the ability to rotate and position the character, including sitting.
After scanning an amiibo and returning to the player's home island, Harvey will call via Nook Phone and mention that posters of the scanned amiibo characters are available for purchase from the Nook Shopping Catalog. Not all amiibos will be able to be summoned in Photopia, though posters may still be available.
