The Auction House is a new room in the city, introduced in Animal Crossing City Folk. In it you can bring your old items, put them up for auction and bid on other items.

After the display period, there will be a 1 week bidding period. Then, you can bid on items. The auction house uses Wii Connect 24. The advantage to this is there are more people who can buy your items, and more people to sell items to. If you wifi with just 1 person, all of their friends can bid on your items. The friends of the friends can also bid, and then everyone who has played with them, making it so you can sell stuff to thousands of different people all over the world!

The Auction House is a building that as of yet only appears in the City, run by a gyroid by the name of Lloid. It is the only building in the City open for business all day and everyday. The Auction House mainly acts as a place to sell furniture or other items to friends visiting over Wi-Fi or neighbors. Auctions happen over a set period which Lloid will mention when talking to him. The Auction House has 9 dark brown display tables where items will be shown. 3 of these tables are bigger than the other 6.

An item sold at the Auction House will be sent to the buyer's mailbox. However, if an item is not sold, the item will be mailed back to the player by Lloid.
