I figure the category is for the little photos characters can give to you, but it seems to be unused, and I don't think it's necessary. ™ 18:22, December 28, 2019 (EST)

Slight  Oppose: it need not be unnecessary. While all files could be viewed in Picture, a Category may be used to pool these images together. We could recategorize all files ending with PicACNL.png. >Decomposer x20px x20px 02:11, December 29, 2019 (EST)

True, it might not be unnecessary, but having a category for this would mean categories for other types of images are justified (e.g. images of clothes). ™ 02:57, December 29, 2019 (EST)

Nothing should be wrong with that. As long as categories are arranged in some hierarchical fashion (e.g., Category:Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer dresses inside Category:Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer clothing icons inside Category:Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Images), and categories themselves should be justified using some set of criteria (e.g., at least 10 images focusing on a specific trait), I don't see a problem with subcategories.
Sidenote: The lack of categorization actually causes pollution. For instance, Category:Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Images mixes the character images ((Character) HHD.png), screenshots ((Character)HHD.png and (Character) HHD Request.png), and even unrelated images that those belonging in the same "type" aren't even in this one (File:Darner Dragonfly HHD Icon.png is the only insect HHD icon in the category), although further discussion on splitting Category:Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Images should be placed in that category's talk page, and further discussion on splitting [[(Game) Images]] should be placed on, say, Nookipedia talk:Community Fountain, Help talk:Categories, or Nookipedia talk:Manual of Style. >Decomposer x20px x20px 05:41, December 29, 2019 (EST)

I also agree nothing is wrong with that. Just want to see if there's a willingness to create more categories, like there's a potential organizational gap that's been forgotten. I'll try getting the discussion in other pages. ™ 19:08, January 1, 2020 (EST)
