Shells are plentiful items that wash up on the ocean shoreline of all four Animal Crossing series games. They are an easy, yet small, source of Bells, and are especially useful the first few days to obtain enough Bells to buy tools, such as the fishing rod or net.

Scallop

• In Animal Crossing: Wild World, Scallops can be traded in the Golden Axe Trading Event to obtain the Golden Axe or Pascal's Pic. They can be obtained from Tortimer in exchange for a massage chair.
• In Animal Crossing: City Folk, Scallops can be traded with Pascal for a piece of ship-themed furniture.
