- I guess anything boxing-related could remind you of Punch-Out!!, and I don't think this theme was intended to be a reference to that series, but I've been corrected before. Red (talk)

- It's just coincidence. In the Japanese versions of Animal Crossing this theme is known as the Pro Wrestling Theme. Had it been known as the 'Punch-Out!!' theme in those versions then a case might have been able to be made.
