This section of the Main Page details the most recent news relating to the Animal Crossing series or Nookipedia. It also shows if there is an active Nookipedia Proposal.
Usage
- No more than five pieces of news should be listed. When a new piece is added, the oldest should be removed.
- Any news posted here should also be added to the news archive. If any changes are made to a piece of news after its posting, the news archive should also be updated to match.
- Nintendo/Animal Crossing news should be written in a neutral, formal style just like our articles. Nookipedia/NIWA news can be written in a more casual tone.
- News should be written in present perfect tense (e.g. "Nintendo has announced..."), should be no more than two sentences, and should have a link to the source of the information (e.g. news article, YouTube video, etc.)
- Headlines should be written in sentence case just like article titles.
- News should not be posted for expected events, such as the release of a game that was previously announced and has had its release date revealed.

The Spanish Animal Crossing wiki has gone independent!

Animal Crossing Enciclopedia, the Spanish-language Animal Crossing wiki, has recently gained independence! Originally founded on Wikia in 2008, the wiki is now hosted at animalcrossing.wikidex.net. Nookipedia will be working with Animal Crossing Enciclopedia to provide interlanguage links to each other's articles.
