Changes for and thoughts about calendar templates

Heads up. I made the following changes for and thoughts about Calendar templates. Placing this here since this isn't wide enough to belong to the Community Fountain.

  • I have made a template documentation page in the past that contains Sunmarsh's Coding notes, and extends it a bit further, adding a guide on which events to place. Hopefully this makes the templates more consistent.
  • There are several events outside of NA or EU that are not documented e.g., Bean Day. Most events should be available at guides online (e.g., Liquefy's NL guide). It is expected that the event pages themselves be created first, and linked in the appropriate calendar templates later.
    • Regarding events on different regions, I'm contemplating on the usage of {{NA}} and similar "region templates". Would it be better to just use <small> and </small> tags with {{tt}} e.g., Bean Day (JP)? This makes it easier to extend for multiple regions e.g., Shamrock Day (NA, EU).
      • Another solution to this would be just to include a flag for Template:NA and similar templates that will remove the effects of .
  • Holidays may no longer need (WW) or (CF/NL), for example, Festivale, that do not conflict with the same events but with different dates for different games. Events like the Fishing Tourney occur at different dates for different games, and therefore may need (AC) and (CF/NL).
    • Drawback: people may think some events e.g., Yay Day or Graduation Day will occur for all, even current, games. Considering that the cells may be further populated from more events, I think this is an okay compromise.

Any thoughts or objections? >Decomposer x20px x20px 02:28, June 14, 2019 (EDT)
