Category talk:Character icon sprites

Absorb with Category:Game Sprites?

Unless if I'm missing anything, all media in this category use Template:Game sprite, which categorizes them into Category:Game Sprites. Is there some reason why this category should be kept? I'm thinking that Icon Sprites should be dissolved, as this creates an unnecessary and perhaps arbitrary categorization, because "sprites that are icons" could mean several things that could be recategorized into other categories (e.g., the already created Category:Amiibo Festival character icons which is in turn a subcat of Category:Amiibo Festival images) and could be just linked to Game Sprites. >Decomposer 08:22, January 14, 2020 (EST)

I was wondering the same thing myself when I ran across this pair, but forgot to bring it up. I agree that they are essentially the same category; if there is a difference I don't know what it is. It seems like most of these images are in both categories, so I think it would be best when we did the text replace to just delete Category:Icon Sprites from the page rather than replace it with Category:Game Sprites to avoid assigning the same category twice.
