Squares

Like acres, Squares are a unit of length in the Animal Crossing series. It is used both for indoors and outdoors. One square consists on a small area, that has about the same length that the player. The most precise way to see the size of a square is to put a design in the ground, it will be the size of a square. If you water a square that has one flower, it will count as if you watered the flower. Squares are generally used with furniture, but can be used with practically everything in the game.

• In Animal Crossing: Wild World, each acre has 4x4 squares.
• In Animal Crossing: City Folk, each acre has 16x16 squares (256 in total), and a town have 6400 squares.
