The amiibo phone appears in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, located inside Nook's Homes. When the player uses the amiibo phone, they must scan an amiibo figure or card. So they can build a house for that character, or get a special item (The golden villager trophy) It is unlocked when enough progress is made in Happy Home Designer.
