'''Freckles''' is a [[peppy]] [[duck]] [[villager]] in the {{SER}} who appears in all games to date except {{PC}}. Her catchphrase, ''ducky'', refers to her species.

Freckles's Japanese name, ''Maguro'' (マグロ), means "tuna," and as such, she has a general fish theme. She owns [[tuna]]s inside of her {{NL|short}} and {{NH|short}} [[Villager house|houses]], and the tuna item is unlocked for doing her {{HHD|short}} house request, which is a direct reference to her Japanese namesake. Her {{HHD|short|nolink}} and {{HHP|short}} house requests are fish-themed, and the chimneys of her {{NL|short|nolink}} and {{HHD|short|nolink}} houses produce fish-shaped smoke plumes. Additionally, her [[star sign]] is [[Pisces]], which is symbolized by a fish, and her starting [[hobby]] in {{WW}} is fishing.

Freckles is a pink duck with a bit of brunette hair on top of her head. She gets her name from the five freckles just above her bright yellow beak. She has peachy orange cheeks below her eyes. She has white tips on her wings, and her eyes are round and white with large black pupils. They are positioned quite far apart from each other.

===Personality===

As a peppy villager, Freckles will always appear to be in a good mood. She will get along with other villagers including the [[player]], making it easy to befriend her and gain her [[picture]] in {{WW}}. She will enjoy the usual [[hobbies]], and may ask the player for [[bug]]s or [[fish]] that she finds cute. She will easily get upset, but due to a short attention span she will forget ever having the conversation. Like all peppy villagers, she dreams of becoming famous in the future and reads [[Ms. Nintendique]], an unseen magazine read by [[snooty]] and peppy villagers in {{WW}}. She will get on well with [[normal]], [[lazy]], [[big sister]] and other [[peppy]] villagers, but may annoy snooty and [[cranky]] villagers with her upbeat personality.
