Nookipedia:Staff/Apply

From Nookipedia, the Animal Crossing wiki

Welcome to Nookipedia's Staff Application page! Nookipedia is always looking for active and experienced editors to become a part of its staff, who are granted a few extra tools to aid in the maintenance of the wiki. If you feel that you or another editor is ready to become a staff member, or be promoted to another staff position, please follow the application instructions below.

Applying

Staff members are generally expected to meet the following standards:

  • Knowledgeable of editing Nookipedia and our policies.
  • Willing and able to communicate with and help users in a courteous manner.
  • Fairly active.

Any editor can apply or nominate other users (with their permission). Remember, becoming a staff member isn't a big deal - no user is higher than another, and being a member of staff simply means that you have been trusted with extra tools to help out with.

It is suggested that non-staff apply for the Patroller position. All applications are considered by the current staff, who offer input and support/opposition. Non-staff users can also provide input in the Comments section, which may be considered in the final decision. A week after an application is submitted, a Director, Bureaucrat, or Administrator will determine the consensus of the vote and discussion (or extend the time period if needed). If your application fails, don't be discouraged! Take any advice into mind, and re-apply after a bit of time when you think you're ready again.

If you think you or another user is ready to become a staff member, or be promoted to another staff position, simply fill out the following template and paste it in the Applications section below.

{{subst:StaffApplication
|Username = <Enter Username Here>
|Position = <Enter Desired Position in Staff>
|Nomination = <Enter a few words on yourself or the user you are applying, then sign>

Pakkun

Pakkun (talk | contribs | logs) for Patroller (/+)

I'm one of the patrollers at Zelda Wiki and I'd like to support this wiki and perhaps provide some obligational relief by serving as staff. I haven't been here long, but I have no issue finding my way through a wiki or finding what could use some improvement. You're welcome to review my contributions at Zelda Wiki if it helps. Comments

  • I'll be happy to support before the end of the app's duration once I see a little bit of activity throughout the week (even just a few edits), just to ensure activity. I have no doubt you'd be a great staff member, and even though I see a great editor at ZeldaWiki, I'm uneasy with giving someone a staff position here when they have 0 edits to Nookipedia, for the sake of fairness. In my mind, work on another wiki can definitely be a factor to become a staff member, but can't be the primary and only justification. Conspiracy: SuperHamster's clever ploy of getting more edits to the wiki. ~SuperHamster Talk 20:14, 26 November 2012 (EST)

  • Strong Support Support- I know Pakkun just joined yesterday, but I've known him for over year as a fellow editior on ZW, where he is known as an active and reliable patroller. He knows how to give constructive criticism, and I've seen this trait in about the 800 edits of mine that he has patrolled throughout my time on ZW. He would get my support for patroller on any wiki. --XXSuperXXNintendoXx 18:39, 26 November 2012 (EST)
  • Support Support - Already making plenty of great contributions, and clearly knowledgeable on editing. Would be great on the team :) ~SuperHamster Talk 16:35, 28 November 2012 (EST)
  • Support Support Looked at his edits on Zelda Wiki. (Great edits by the way!) I would be glad to have him on the team. :D -mlnintendo97 17:07, 28 November 2012 (EST)
  • Support Support Given the edits he's made here as well as those on ZeldaWiki, I also feel that he'd be a great addition to our team. --Jake 22:25, 28 November 2012 (EST)
  • Support Support We're always looking for new editors, especially from NIWA, judging by the amount of edits on ZeldaWiki, I really want him on the team. Leem01 01:49, 30 November 2012 (EST)
