Medicine is an item in the Animal Crossing series, appearing from Doubutsu no Mori e+ onward. It can be purchased at Tom Nook's Store or Timmy and Tommy's store (once upgraded to T&T Mart) for 400 Bells (1,200 in Doubutsu no Mori e+). Medicine can heal sick villagers and cure bee (or wasp) stings. In games up to and including Animal Crossing: New Leaf (excluding Welcome amiibo where sickness was disabled), a villager's sickness usually requires three doses of medicine to be cured. After their ailment has passed, they will gift the player with a random item to show their appreciation. Any player can give medicine, though it is the player who contributes the most that receives the gift.
In New Leaf, any villager whom the player is friends with will supply medicine to the player should they get stung by a bee.
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, medicine will cure a sick villager instantly, and can be crafted using a recipe obtained by talking to villagers while stung. To craft it, the player needs 1 wasp nest and 3 clumps of weeds. However, medicine may still be gifted by villagers, most commonly those with sisterly personalities.
