In 3-Legged Race, the player must scan one Character Card. The scanned character then teams up with the player in a three-legged race against another team of two characters. There is a bar at the bottom of the screen with a moving arrow beneath it, and the player must alternate between pressing and as the arrow reaches the respective button's yellow zone at each end of the bar. Each successful button press moves the player's team forward, while failing to press the buttons in time causes the player's team to trip. The scanned character determines the speed of the arrow and the size of the yellow zone.

In Animal Relay, the player must scan three Character Cards. The scanned characters then team up for a relay race against against another team of three characters. Based on the combined stats of the three chosen characters, the player's team finishes the race in a predetermined amount of team. If both teams have the same characters, the rival team always wins.

There are three difficulty levels that determine the rival team's speed: "Slow", "Average", and "Fast". The amount of time the rival team takes to complete the race is random. If the player's team wins the race, the game gives the player a password.

The North American versions of Animal Relay feature a pseudo-multiplayer mode where the player scans the characters for both teams. No passwords are given in the multiplayer mode.

Fireworks Show is an Animal Crossing-e and Doubutsu no Mori+ Card-e e-Reader minigame played on the Game Boy Advance. ==Gameplay==

In Fireworks Show, the player scans a Character Card, which causes a display of fireworks to go off. The number, shape, and position of the fireworks is unique to each character. After the fireworks have gone off, a score is given; each character always receives the same score.

The fireworks shows and scores for each character differ between version A and version B. The game gives the player a password if a score of 80 or 100 is reached.

Passwords
Each version of Fireworks Show has two passwords: one for getting a score between 80 and 99, and one for getting a score of 100. If one of these passwords is sent in a letter to any villager, the player receives a letter in return from Tom Nook that contains an item.

In Fortune Telling, Katrina appears against a starry background and offers to tell the player's fortune based on which Character Card is scanned. Once a card is scanned, Katrina tells a unique fortune, four "suggestions" based on that fortune, and a Lucky Color (version A) or Lucky Item (version B). Every character card has a unique fortune, suggestions, and Lucky Color or Lucky Item for both versions A and B.

If the player scans a specific character's card, Katrina says, "On this occasion let it be known that I have received a divine message!", and gives the player one of two passwords. Which cards give a password is different in each version.

Each version of Fortune Telling has two passwords. Which of the two passwords is given is determined by the character scanned; the second password is given by fewer characters. ==Gameplay==

In Tug of War, the player must scan three Character Cards. The scanned characters then team up for a 30-second tug of war competition against against another team of three characters. If a team is pulled past the center line, the game ends and the other team wins; otherwise, the game ends after 30 seconds and the team that is farther from the center wins. The winner is predetermined based on the characters' combined stats.

There are three difficulty levels that determine the rival team's strength: "Weak", "Average", and "Strong". The amount of time the rival team takes to complete the race is random. If the player's team wins the race, the game gives the player a password.

The North American versions of Tug of War feature a pseudo-multiplayer mode where the player scans the characters for both teams. No passwords are given in the multiplayer mode.

Rival team characters
The characters on the rival team are predetermined for each difficulty in each version of the game. Even if the player chooses one of these characters as their teammate, that character will still appear on the rival team:

;A

*Weak — Drift, Roald, Purrl

*Average — Truffles, Carrie, Belle

*Strong — Grizzly, Paolo, Tiara

;B

*Weak — Doc, June, Derwin

*Average — Spork, Chief, Boris

*Strong — Groucho, Hornsby, Alli

Passwords
Each version of Tug of War has three passwords: one for each difficulty level. If one of these passwords is sent in a letter to any villager, the player receives a letter in return from Tom Nook that contains an item.
