The Fountain is a landmark in both the town and in the city. In Animal Crossing: City Folk, if an additional 500,000 Bells are donated to the town fund after a bridge has been built, a fountain will be built in front of the Bus Stop after one week. Serena inhabits this fountain. A fountain is also in the City, where Phineas will be near and villagers will roam.
Also if the player has a regular axe and throws it into to the fountain Serena will appear and ask questions like what type of axe you threw in and if she is acting like a good goddess or not. She will also remark on if she's "goddess-y." If you answer the questions in a certain way she will give you a gold or silver axe.
